Description
The Grand River Dam Authority is soliciting bids for construction of a 1.14-mile, 161-kV double-circuit transmission line extension through the MidAmerica Industrial Park in Mayes County, Oklahoma. The work includes hydrovac utility daylighting; drilled-shaft and direct-embedment foundations; galvanized steel transmission structures; installation of 795 kcmil ACSR “Drake” conductors, OPGW, and EHS shield wire; grounding; right-of-way restoration; and final tie-ins to existing Feeder 154 and Feeder 155 circuits and a customer substation. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, equipment, contractor-furnished materials, permits, safety procedures, outage coordination, and construction testing. Portions of the work will occur near energized 161-kV facilities, with no simultaneous outages permitted. The bid package requires a detailed lump-sum price and unit prices, a proposed crew schedule, experience and safety information, subcontractor information, certifications, and acknowledgment of the technical specifications. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is required, and the project is scheduled to begin by October 1, 2026, and be completed by December 15, 2026.
