Description
The Environmental Protection Agency intends to award a sole-source Protective Equipment Maintenance Agreement for an AB SCIEX X500R QTOF mass spectrometer, associated LC system, and gas generator. The agreement will provide maintenance and remedial repairs, replacement of unrepairable components, parts, labor, and travel, with certified new or factory-remanufactured replacement parts. The scope includes two preventive-maintenance visits annually for the mass spectrometer, one annual visit for the LC system and gas generator, documented post-maintenance verification, service by factory-trained and currently certified engineers, initiation of service within 48 hours or less excluding weekends, telephone and email technical and application support, and Analyst or OS software maintenance and technical support, including upgrades, patches, training, configuration, instrument operation, data processing, scripts or macros, and templates. This is a notice of intent rather than a request for proposals; capability statements with clear and convincing evidence and itemized pricing may be submitted to determine whether competition is feasible.
