Lafayette Consolidated Government is soliciting proposals for labor and equipment necessary to maintain, repair, reconductor, and replace electrical facilities on the overhead portion of its municipal power system. The work includes energized overhead electric distribution lines of at least 13.8 kV and energized overhead electric transmission lines of at least 69 kV. The contractor or designated general foreman must have at least 15 years of experience constructing and maintaining energized overhead electric distribution and transmission lines. Proposers must hold Louisiana licenses for Electrical Work (Statewide) and the Electrical Transmission Line subclassification. Submissions require a $100,000 bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or qualifying bid bond, along with multiple proposal copies and a separately sealed envelope containing proposal forms with rates.
