Description
The City of Durham is soliciting unit-price construction bids for furnishing materials, labor, equipment, and tools to remove and install curb ramps and repair curb and gutter at various locations throughout the city. The bid schedule includes concrete and granite curb and gutter, single and double ADA curb ramps with truncated domes, concrete sidewalks, driveways and aprons, asphalt, brick pavers, grading, seeding and mulching, manhole and water-meter-box adjustments, sign-post adjustments, bollard relocation, pedestrian and traffic control, and mobilization. Bidders must use the provided Bid Form and submit bid security equal to five percent of the bid, a non-collusion affidavit, a contractor equipment and personnel list, a Bidder Safety Record Review Form, and the required workforce diversity questionnaire. Bidders must be licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes and demonstrate the ability to perform a majority of the work with their own equipment and personnel. The project must be completed within 365 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Performance and payment bonds, insurance, quality-control testing, a pre-construction video, traffic and pedestrian-control plans, public notices, and other construction submittals are required under the contract documents.
