Description
Des Moines Public Schools is soliciting statements of qualifications from interested firms to provide Construction Manager at-Risk services for the Merrill Middle School Career and Technical Education Addition Project. The scope includes preconstruction and construction services. The District intends to enter into a Guaranteed Maximum Price contract with the selected CMAR during the preconstruction process, using a two-step process consisting of a Request for Qualifications followed by a Request for Proposals. Qualified respondents will later be invited to submit proposed project fees, and selection will be based on the published criteria and best value. The RFQ response must be uploaded as a PDF through the District's online portal. A redacted proposal must also be uploaded if the SOQ contains confidential information; a completely redacted copy is not acceptable. The response evaluation considers firm information, safety record, current capacity to perform, and compliance with Iowa and federal laws.
