Description
Montgomery County Environmental Services is soliciting bids for a one-year scrap metal removal price agreement with four additional one-year extension options. The awarded vendor must provide containers, independently exchange full and empty containers, transport scrap metal to a certified facility, inspect loads for unacceptable materials, assume responsibility for removed materials, and complete requested pickups within 24 hours. The scope includes ferrous, non-ferrous, and mixed metals, with pricing based on American Metals Market data and separate pricing for new two-, four-, and six-cubic-yard containers. Services are required at several county facilities in Moraine, Kettering, and West Carrollton, Ohio, with possible additional locations. The vendor must be a certified metals recycler, provide at least three similar-work references from the past five years, and comply with specified insurance, transportation, receipt, and regulatory requirements. Subcontractors are not permitted unless reviewed and approved by the county.
