Description
The U.S. Air Force requires courier services for laboratory samples between the FedEx South Dayton Station in Miamisburg, Ohio; the 88th Medical Group at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base; and the USAFSAM Epidemiology Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Services include scheduled weekday and Saturday pickups, delivery to the laboratory, package unloading and handoff, delivery receipts, and occasional unscheduled retrievals that must be completed within two hours of notification. The contractor must provide the necessary personnel, vehicle, equipment, management, and supplies; comply with federal regulations for transporting potentially infectious laboratory specimens; use a vehicle no larger than a 15-passenger van; and ensure drivers have required clearances and badges. The contract has a one-year base period and three one-year option periods. Quotes must include technical literature demonstrating capability, package-handling procedures, equipment information, warranty documentation, and quote-validity information. The closing date has been extended to January 29, 2027, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time; existing offerors may either reaffirm and extend quote validity through at least February 28, 2027, or submit a revised quotation and/or technical proposal by the amended deadline.
