Description
Montgomery County is soliciting bids for construction of new irrigation systems at several sites throughout its Downtown Campus. The work includes underground irrigation mainlines and laterals, sleeves, wiring and conduit, irrigation controls and decoder systems, valves, sprinkler heads, flow sensors, rain sensors, backflow connections, grounding, testing, winterization, and related site restoration. The contractor must be recognized by the Irrigation Association as a Certified Irrigation Contractor and provide documentation of previous Rain Bird IQ installations. The scope also requires inspections during construction, accurate color-coded as-built drawings, setup and connection of the Rain Bird IQ control system, coordination with the owner and electrical contractor, and compliance with Ohio prevailing-wage, quality-control, insurance, and bonding requirements. The engineer's estimate is $260,000, and substantial completion is required by March 31, 2027.
