Description
The Regional Municipality of Peel is seeking proposals for long-term haulage, where direct delivery is not feasible, and mixed municipal waste processing services to support a mixed waste diversion program. The selected vendor must develop and deliver processing infrastructure in Ontario capable of processing 100,000 tonnes of municipal garbage per year. The program must recover organic materials and ferrous and non-ferrous metals at minimum, and produce marketable beneficial-use products from facility-separated organics. Diversion of solid recovered fuel is optional and a secondary objective. The procurement is classified as a services RFP with a stated 240-month duration and online-only submission.
