Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole-source contract under FAR 6.302-1 for a service maintenance agreement supporting the M-GAIT medical gait system. The agency identifies Motek Medical B.V. as the proposed sole-source provider and states that it believes only that source possesses the required capabilities. This is a special notice and not a solicitation or request for offers. Other responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation demonstrating clear and convincing evidence that they can satisfy the requirement and that competition would benefit the Government. The agency will not pay for submitted information, and the decision whether to compete the requirement remains solely within the agency's discretion.
