Description
The City of Redlands is soliciting bids for processing commingled recyclable material collected from residential and commercial customers. The contractor must provide or arrange the necessary facility, land, equipment, scales, loaders, tipping floors, screens, separators, transfer or transportation equipment, personnel, supplies, permits, baling, sorting, and processing. The contractor must weigh incoming loads, provide weight tickets, process and recover recyclable commodities, dispose of residual non-recyclable material in compliance with applicable requirements, and submit monthly tonnage and residual-disposal reports. The contractor must also remit monthly revenue payments to the City based on the fixed per-ton rate. The service location must be within 10 miles of the City's Corporate Yard at 1270 W. Park Avenue, Redlands, California, with no exceptions. The initial service period is one year, with up to two additional one-year extensions. Bidders must complete all price-sheet items, the specifications worksheet, and the required bid forms; the award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
