Description
Fairfax County's Solid Waste Management Program is seeking innovative concepts to improve its integrated solid waste system, including waste reduction and diversion, recycling, processing, and disposal. Areas of interest include zero-waste programs, transfer station and facility operations, waste and construction debris recovery, organics and hazardous waste management, landfill care and gas recovery, collection alternatives, fleet modernization, and digital and emerging technologies. Responses may propose services, technologies, facilities, programs, or partnerships, including public-private and long-term collaborative models. This is an information-gathering Request for Expressions of Interest, not a bid solicitation or procurement. Responses will inform planning and potential future procurements; they will not be evaluated for award and will not result in payment. Respondents are asked to describe their organization and relevant experience, proposed approach, alignment with County needs, and general business considerations. Submit a single PDF by email; the document recommends keeping it to 10 pages or fewer.
