The Petersburg Borough School District is seeking a qualified Part-Time Construction Inspector to oversee and ensure quality compliance for two concurrent construction projects at Petersburg High School/Middle School: the installation of a new roof assembly and the renovation of the entry and administration areas. The inspector will work closely with contractors, architects, and district officials to ensure that all work adheres to project specifications, building codes, and safety standards. Key responsibilities include conducting regular on-site inspections, monitoring contractors' work for quality assurance, reviewing construction drawings and specifications, maintaining detailed inspection records, collaborating with project stakeholders, verifying materials and equipment, ensuring safety compliance, attending project meetings, and assisting in the review of contractor payment requests. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction inspection or a related role, in-depth knowledge of construction methods and building codes, ability to read construction drawings, strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a valid driver's license. The duration is approximately 8 months from February to September 2025, with hours varying from 10-20 hours per week.
