Description
The Municipality of Anchorage, through its Development Services Department Code Abatement Division, is seeking one or more contractors to secure blighted single-family, multifamily, and commercial structures against unauthorized entry. The work includes furnishing all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, transportation, tools, and incidentals; boarding windows, doors, basement and crawlspace openings, exterior stairwells and balconies, sheds, outbuildings, and other openings; and coordinating with the Code Abatement Officer and, when necessary, the Anchorage Police Department. Non-emergency board-ups must be completed within five calendar days of purchase-order issuance, while emergency board-ups must be completed within 24 hours after notification. Work requires new three-fourths-inch plywood, specified fasteners, framing for openings wider than 48 inches, site cleanup, safety controls, and correction of deficient work at no additional cost. The solicitation provides for an initial performance period through November 30, 2027, with three one-year renewal options, and does not guarantee minimum or maximum quantities or dollar amounts.
