Description
The U.S. Geological Survey is requesting a firm, fixed-price quote for one brand-new enclosed tandem-axle cargo trailer for mobile storage, shop use, and heavy-equipment transport on Alaska’s road system. The trailer must have a minimum 9,500-pound GVWR, approximately 6,800 pounds or more of internal payload, tandem axles, a standard trailer hitch with tongue jack, rear locking bay doors rather than a ramp, more than 7 feet of internal headroom, internal tie-downs for loads exceeding 4,000 pounds, adequate interior lighting, LED brake lights, and a roof rated for Alaskan winter snow loads. The trailer must be at least 8 feet by 14 feet with a 7-foot minimum interior height. Quotes must address each salient characteristic, include FOB shipping costs and any additional shipping charges, provide an estimated delivery date, and identify the country of manufacture. Award will be made to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offeror offering fair and reasonable pricing. The item must be new; used or refurbished items will not be accepted.
