Description
The United States Coast Guard is soliciting a contractor to remove and dispose of existing carpet and install brand-new carpet throughout the entire third floor/deck, including all hallways, of the Base Ketchikan administrative building. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, equipment, tools, transportation, and related services required for the work. The scope includes replacing all rubber cove base, reusing wood cove base where suitable after cleaning and filling nail holes, providing at least six color swatches per color family with blue and gray options, and securing an off-site storage solution if the limited on-site storage cannot accommodate the work. The contractor is also responsible for renting and maintaining a roll-off dumpster for carpet removal and disposal. Work is to be performed Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Alaska time, or by appointment, with recommended phasing to minimize disruption. Award is contingent on funding and will be made to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable, qualified contractor.
