Description
The City of Sacramento is soliciting a lump-sum construction bid for Last Mile Project Package 4, covering fiber-optic installation and modification at 11 locations. The work includes furnishing and installing fiber-optic cabling, Schedule 40 PVC or HDPE conduits, duct banks, detectable mule tape, tracer and warning tape, handholes, pull boxes, splice vaults, grounding and bonding components, and related equipment. Installation methods include directional boring, trenching, and limited micro-trenching, with pavement, sidewalk, landscaping, and other disturbed areas restored to existing or better condition. The contractor must hold, or use appropriately licensed subcontractors holding, California Class A and Class C7 or C10 licenses. The project requires traffic control, utility coordination, public notification, prevailing-wage and Davis-Bacon compliance, apprenticeship participation, certified payroll reporting, construction-and-demolition debris recycling, and compliance with the City's Community Workforce Training Agreement because the estimated value exceeds $1 million. The contract duration is 60 working days, and the engineer's construction estimate is $2,200,000.
