Description
The City of Wilson, through Wilson Energy, is soliciting labor, crews, tools, vehicles, and equipment for underground and overhead electric distribution and transmission construction services. Underground work includes installing and replacing power cables, conduits, transformers, switching equipment, pedestals, and related facilities, as well as construction, emergency, installation, repair, and service-area assistance. Overhead work includes pole replacement, facility transfers, new pole and facility installation, residential and commercial service installations, and area or streetlight installations and repairs. Bidders may price multiple crew configurations, including underground construction and service crews and overhead distribution, light, service, and transmission crews. Work is billed primarily on labor cost plus overhead and equipment rates, with estimated underground work of 1,000 hours; estimated hours are not guaranteed. The contract may run for up to five years, consisting of an initial year with up to four annual extensions. The contractor must provide qualified personnel, specified equipment, current North Carolina commercial driver's licenses for personnel, and required insurance. The proposal must be submitted on the attached forms, including the proposal, E-Verify affidavit, references, and exception/variation form.
