Description
The City of Providence Department of Housing and Human Services is seeking proposals from youth-serving organizations or collaboratives to organize and host structured, substance-free youth empowerment activities. The activities must build protective factors against substance use and related harms by increasing youth participation, developing decision-making skills, and strengthening prosocial connections. The scope includes planning, venue and materials coordination, training or certifications, marketing and recruitment, barrier mitigation, safety practices, implementation, attendance tracking, participant goal-setting, resource connections, evaluation, reporting, and sustainability planning. Applicants must propose key performance indicators and collect data on participation, demographics, individual goals, resource connections, accessibility, safety, empowerment, and continuing peer connections. Required proposal materials include a maximum 10-page single-spaced narrative, proposed timeline, resumes and relevant credentials for lead staff, applicable letters of commitment, a detailed line-item budget and budget narrative, other funding sources, fiscal capacity information, and a certificate of good standing for the organization's 501(c)(3) status. The City anticipates multiple awards totaling no more than $75,000, with a one-year project period from January 1 through December 31, 2027.
