Description
The State of Rhode Island, through its Division of Purchases, is establishing a list of qualified vendors to provide service, repair, and maintenance for its fleet of boats and marine craft. The fleet includes vessels ranging from 8 feet to over 46 feet, powered by inboard and outboard engines (diesel and gasoline). Services required include boat hauling, blocking, re-launching, power washing, sandblasting, bottom painting, installation of sacrificial anodes, hull repair, winterizing and commissioning of engines, and regular hourly maintenance services (100- and 300-hour services). Vendors must be able to provide expedited emergency service and possess manufacturer certifications, particularly Mercury and Caterpillar Diesel certifications. The solicitation is an open enrollment vendor assessment, evaluated on a pass/fail basis for resume, references, manufacturer certifications, logistics, and discounts.
