Description
The City of Providence Department of Housing & Human Services seeks proposals for pilot initiatives that strengthen partnerships between recovery housing providers and local food security organizations. The goal is to build sustainable, coordinated systems that improve consistent, equitable access to nutritious food for recovery house residents during a one-year project period from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027. Eligible activities may include on-site food pantries, scheduled food delivery or mobile pantry partnerships, partnerships with farms or farmers markets, nutrition education and cooking classes, and cooperative grocery purchasing. Direct cash, gift cards, vouchers, and other direct financial assistance for food purchases are unallowable.
