Description
Albany County Department for Children, Youth and Families is seeking proposals for Parent Partner services focused on caregivers of youth who have encountered, or are at risk of entering, the juvenile justice system. The selected provider will recruit, screen, train, supervise, and deploy up to two full-time-equivalent Parent Partners to engage families, provide peer support and advocacy, explain service-system processes, connect families with community resources, and collaborate with County departments, Probation, Family Court, schools, and other providers. Services will include flexible home and community visits throughout Albany County, regular face-to-face support, family engagement and service planning, transportation assistance, interpreter access, crisis and kinship-support identification, flexible funding administration, reporting, and participation in court and family meetings. Addendum 1 clarifies that approximately 5–10 families may be served at a time, approximately 60 families annually, and each Parent Partner may carry a caseload of approximately 20–30 families. The maximum total allocation is $134,487. The contract is for one year with two additional one-year renewal options at the County's discretion.
