Description
The City of Providence Department of Housing & Human Services seeks an organization or collective to deliver Overdose Education and Naloxone Distribution (OEND) and anti-stigma training for residents, community organizations, and other stakeholders. The scope includes developing and maintaining English- and Spanish-language curricula and materials; assembling naloxone kits and educational materials; scheduling, promoting, and facilitating group trainings; tracking participants, training requests, naloxone distribution, and outcomes; administering evaluations; and providing monthly, quarterly, and final reports. Applicants should propose programming across multiple Providence communities, with a suggested baseline of 15 group trainings annually and 375 individuals trained during the first year. Proposals must address goals and objectives, work plan, anticipated reach, evaluation, trauma-informed and culturally competent delivery, organizational experience, staffing, timeline, and budget. The estimated total funding is $50,000 for a one-year project beginning January 1, 2027, with two one-year extension options. Applicants must be qualified 501(c)(3) organizations located in or primarily serving Providence.
