Description
The City of St. Louis Office of Violence Prevention, in partnership with the Board of Aldermen, is soliciting proposals from qualified nonprofit organizations to provide culturally cognizant, community-based crime-prevention programs for at-risk youth ages 11–24. Proposed programming may address academic instruction and support, health and wellness, sports, arts and culture, post-secondary success, evening or weekend programming, mentorship, violence prevention or interruption, therapeutic services, social support, and community engagement. Preference is given to programs focused on reducing violent crime, gun activity, and gang activity, particularly in specified St. Louis neighborhoods. Funded organizations must participate in coordinated events, meetings, training, technical assistance, evaluation, and standardized digital data reporting. Proposals must include a program narrative, organizational and staffing information, data-collection strategy, detailed budget and justification, 12-month timeline, references, financial documentation, and required compliance materials. Potential annual awards may be up to $100,000, subject to a limit of 25% of the applicant’s most recent annual operating budget. Payments will be made monthly by reimbursement, with no prepayments or cash payments.
