Description
Alameda County is soliciting a turnkey replacement of the existing Santa Rita Jail vehicle access gate at 5325 Broder Boulevard. The work includes a manual dual swinging gate system with heavy-duty welded steel construction, gate hardware, locking hardware, security components, matching chain-link fencing, concertina wire, demolition, fabrication, transportation, installation, testing, adjustment, restoration, and cleanup. The contractor must maintain perimeter security and keep the existing gate operational until the replacement system is fully installed, tested, secured, and accepted. The contractor must field-verify dimensions and prepare shop drawings for review and approval before fabrication or removal of the existing gates. The project requires a California C-13 Fencing Contractor license, a 10% bid bond or equivalent bid security, and electronic submission through the County procurement portal. The estimated budget is approximately $75,000, with a 90-calendar-day performance period beginning February 23, 2027. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is required, and the work is subject to prevailing-wage and public-works requirements.
