Description
This Stage II Invitation to Bid is limited to contractors shortlisted during the Stage I Request for Proposals process. The project consists of constructing a new approximately 18,599-square-foot, single-story evidence warehouse for the Utah Department of Public Safety. The building includes masonry, concrete, and steel construction; secure evidence and staff access; vehicle storage and sallyport areas; evidence storage and management spaces; security-related infrastructure; mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, communications, and site improvements. An additive alternate requests pricing for resinous epoxy flooring in designated evidence-storage and related rooms instead of the base polished-and-sealed concrete finish. The construction cost estimate is $11,300,000. The contractor must submit a bid and a 5 percent bid bond through the procurement portal by the stated deadline. The solicitation also requires a subcontractors list to be emailed after bid opening, while performance and payment bonds and the health-insurance compliance form are post-award requirements before contract execution or notice to proceed. Substantial completion is required before November 30, 2027, and liquidated damages are $2,000 per day.
