Description
The project requires the contractor to supply materials and install approximately 2.5 miles of six-strand barbed-wire fencing, including at least eight and up to 12 ten-foot gates. The fence must follow property lines across ridgelines and slopes, use specified post spacing and wire heights, and include steel-pipe H-braces and wooden fence stays. The work is intended to prevent trespassing sheep from using forage reserved for big game wildlife. Bidders must have at least five years of fence-building experience, experience installing fences on approximately 20% slopes, and the equipment or ability to rent equipment needed for the work. They must also have data-logging GPS equipment, be insured in Utah, and have actively installed fencing in Utah for the past five years. The mandatory site visit is November 4, 2026. Work is scheduled for April through June 2027, with all work completed and invoiced by June 30, 2027. The stated project budget is $90,000.
