Description
The Town seeks a paving contractor to provide labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and incidentals to install asphalt pavement at its municipal park. The work covers approximately 30,000 square feet across the driveway access, beach parking lot, ballfield parking lot, tennis court lot, and paths. Specifications call for a 3-inch compacted Type 3 binder course and a 1.5-inch compacted Type 6 top course, with unit prices submitted for estimated quantities; final payment will be based on actual quantities installed and accepted. The Town will install a minimum of 5,000 square yards of pavement. Site visits are highly recommended, and the work is expected to be completed during the 2026 season or as early as possible in the 2027 season. Bidders must submit the provided unit-price bid form, experience certification, MWBE/SDVOB participation or waiver information, NYS Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire, Iran Divestment Act compliance certification, non-collusive bidding certification, W-9, evidence of insurance, and conflict-of-interest statement. The solicitation states MWBE and SDVOB participation goals of 30% and 6%, respectively, and requires compliance with prevailing wage requirements. Required insurance includes commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation and employers’ liability, owners and contractors protective liability, and excess/umbrella liability.
