Description
The Utah Department of Corrections seeks custom-designed, engineered, and manufactured mother trailers for a mother-daughter food conveyance system at its correctional facility. The trailers must carry up to four food carts weighing up to 800 pounds each, securely nest and elevate daughter carts, support loading from either side and towing from either end, and meet a 26-foot U-turn requirement while remaining compatible with the facility’s existing Taylor-Dunn electric tugger. The solicitation anticipates an initial order of up to nine trailers, delivered within 26 weeks after the order is received; the number ordered will depend on cost. The contractor must provide all-inclusive pricing, including delivery, and guarantee pricing for at least two years. The contract is stated to be five years.
