Description
Hunt Jacobsen Joint Venture is seeking preconstruction trade partners for a partial remodel and rebuild of the Salt Palace Convention Center. The requested trades are metal panels; curtain wall and glazed assemblies; elevators and escalators; telecommunications, electronic safety, and security; and audio-visual systems. Work includes design-development support for constructability, coordination, BIM/VDC, scheduling, procurement and labor planning, cost modeling, and management of a negotiated Fixed Limit of Construction Cost. Abravanel Hall and UMOCA are reference-only and outside the scope. Each trade package requires two separate PDF volumes: a technical proposal, worth 60 points and excluding cost information, and a cost proposal/FLCC volume, worth 40 points. The cost volume covers the preconstruction assistance lump sum, construction management fee, general conditions and supervision costs, proposed FLCC with open-book estimate backup, labor rates, and bonding, insurance, and SDI information. After design is complete, the selected partner will provide a fixed lump sum for construction-phase work within the negotiated FLCC. An NDA is required before solicitation documents are released.
