Description
Weld County is soliciting proposals for construction services to remove and replace the existing storm-drain system along Weld County Road 74 through Galeton and reconstruct the roadway and intersecting roads to improve drainage. The scope includes clearing and grubbing, tree and structure removal, asphalt removal, excavation and embankment, erosion control, dewatering, geogrid, aggregate base, hot-mix asphalt paving, riprap, reinforced-concrete pipes, inlets, culverts, curb and gutter, sanitary sewer work, signage, pavement markings, traffic control, and contractor-provided process-control testing. The procurement uses a best-value evaluation considering technical approach and team, similar projects, project controls, schedule, cost, and an optional interview. The proposal response is limited to 15 pages, excluding covers, dividers without text or photos, and mandatory solicitation forms. A 5% bid bond is required with the proposal; 100% performance and labor-and-materials payment bonds are required at contract execution. The work must be completed by June 14, 2027, with anticipated notice to proceed on December 30, 2026, and anticipated construction mobilization on January 4, 2027.
