Description
Lake County seeks a pool of licensed and qualified contractors for on-call, job-order construction services involving roads, drainage, and sidewalks. Work may include new construction, renovation, or repair, with individual projects costing less than $300,000. The County may issue project-specific requests for quotes as needs arise and may award work to one or more contractors. Contractors must provide the labor, materials, equipment, and related resources needed to complete each project and price proposals using the applicable Florida Department of Transportation pay-item unit-cost structure. Projects over $200,000 require a performance and payment bond equal to 100% of the project construction cost; the bond is required after award, not with the initial submission. The solicitation includes three sample projects for pricing and evaluation: drainage pipe installation and swale work, roadway drainage improvements, and sidewalk grinding and replacement. The initial response requires a proposed solution addressing approach, staffing, and equipment, along with pricing for the sample projects and supporting documentation. The contract is for an initial one-year term, with two possible two-year renewals by mutual written agreement.
