Description
Salt Lake County seeks snow removal services at eight county facilities. Work includes plowing and shoveling snow, clearing specified parking lots, sidewalks, stairs, driveways, and walkways, and applying ice melt to concrete and sodium chloride or other permitted de-icing materials to asphalt surfaces. Contractors must respond within one hour when snow accumulation reaches two inches or when called, and must provide the equipment, supplies, and personnel needed for the locations they bid on. Site-specific requirements include clearing times, snow placement restrictions, and limits on which areas are maintained. Bidders may submit prices for individual locations, and the County may award one or more locations to multiple contractors. The contract is non-exclusive, has no guaranteed minimum or maximum purchase quantity, and has an approximate annual usage estimate of $80,000 for information purposes only. The specifications prohibit subcontracting snow plowing and de-icing services. The resulting contract runs through November 23, 2029.
