Description
Salt Lake County Contracts and Procurement, on behalf of the Sheriff's Office, is seeking additional vendors for its towing rotation. Vendors must be available 24/7, year-round, and provide their own permanently marked equipment capable of towing large vehicles and items, including in steep-canyon, off-road, and inclement-weather conditions. Response is required within 30 minutes for local calls and within one hour for unincorporated and canyon calls. Once a vendor accepts a call and arrives, it must remove the assigned vehicle or item. Accident-response work includes cleaning oil, radiator fluid, absorbent material, and other vehicle debris or fluids from the scene. Vendors may need to obtain third-party software or applications to receive tow requests. Charges for towing are the responsibility of vehicle owners and/or their insurers, not the County. The solicitation adds vendors to an existing rotation. The incoming posting includes an award notice naming R&Z Towing, but does not establish that this vendor was awarded under this solicitation; no resulting contract is recorded here. The amendment states that the solicitation may be temporarily closed for submission reviews, with reopening notices posted through the procurement portal.
