Description
Salt Lake County Contracts and Procurement, on behalf of the Sheriff's Office, is seeking multiple vendors to provide evidence towing services and join an existing vendor pool. Contractors must provide 24/7/365 response, tow vehicles and items of any type—including heavy-duty vehicles and items weighing 26,000 pounds or more—and operate in steep canyon, off-road, and inclement-weather conditions. Response is required within 30 minutes in local areas and within one hour in unincorporated and canyon areas. Partial bids are not permitted, and all vendors meeting the specifications will be placed in the pool, with dispatch order determined by the grand total submitted in the Pricing Schedule. When a company accepts a call and arrives at the incident location, it must remove the assigned vehicle or item. Accident-response work includes complete removal of oil, radiator fluid, absorbent material, and other vehicle debris or fluids. Bidders must submit documentation demonstrating compliance with Utah Department of Transportation Rule R909-19-8. The solicitation is a reissue seeking additional vendors for the existing pool, whose contract term expires in April 2030.
