Description
The City seeks a contractor to provide on-call concrete construction and repair at various locations throughout the city. Work includes sidewalk repair and installation, curb work, ADA-compliant upgrades, other concrete flatwork, and related saw cutting. The contractor must furnish labor, equipment, and materials and perform work in accordance with TxDOT standards and specifications. Work is ordered as needed and scheduled by mutual agreement; the contractor is responsible for traffic control, protecting pedestrians, cleanup, and repairing damage caused by its work. The bid worksheet requests unit prices for sidewalk replacement and construction, other flatwork, curb replacement and construction, ADA ramp replacement and installation, and concrete saw cutting. The solicitation evaluates price, references, ability to perform, and municipal-government experience. The contract is described as an annual term with up to four additional one-year renewal options; the sample agreement separately states an initial one-year term with up to two one-year extensions.
