Description
The City of Fort Mitchell is seeking a qualified engineering firm for ongoing, as-needed municipal engineering support. The scope may include day-to-day engineering assistance, capital improvement planning and design, roadway and sidewalk planning, traffic and safety analysis, pavement management, development plan and subdivision review, regulatory compliance, grant assistance, GIS and mapping, cost estimating, inspection coordination, construction administration, and attendance at meetings or support for special projects. The selected firm is expected to provide broad civil engineering expertise and designate one qualified team member as the City Engineer. Qualifications should address the firm's experience, resources, ownership and history, proposed personnel and education, relevant public-sector work, references, and capabilities. The solicitation identifies multiple Kentucky Transportation Cabinet prequalification areas, including roadway design, transportation planning, construction engineering, right-of-way, utilities, environmental services, geotechnical, structural, and traffic engineering; certain geotechnical, structural, and traffic qualifications are not required with the initial submission unless those services become necessary. Liability insurance of $1,000,000 is required throughout the contract, with a certificate naming the City as an additional insured due before contract execution.
