Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Department of Highways District 6, is soliciting janitorial services for its Covington district office. The contractor must provide at least two employees for daily Monday-through-Friday cleaning, generally performed after business hours, covering approximately 21,928 square feet, seven restrooms, a shower room, offices, conference rooms, hallways, entrances, breakroom areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, storage areas, and mechanical rooms. The agency will provide disposable restroom supplies; the contractor must provide labor, cleaning services, equipment, and cleaning chemicals. The scope includes daily restroom, breakroom, office, floor, carpet, trash, recycling, and exterior-area cleaning; weekly detailed cleaning; monthly furniture and telephone dusting; semiannual tile and carpet extraction cleaning; and annual window, blind, lighting-fixture, wall, and partition cleaning. A mandatory pre-bid site visit and signed Site Visit Validation Form are required. Bidders must also submit the completed Bidder Qualifications form and enter bid information and pricing electronically. The resulting master agreement has an initial one-year term with four additional one-year renewal options. The contractor may use subcontractors but remains responsible for the full contract.
