Description
The project will eliminate five pump stations—Barrington Hills, Barrington Hills Block F, Gil Volz, Kildare Crossings, and Kirkridge Acres—and provide approximately 9,667 linear feet of 8-inch through 18-inch gravity sanitary sewer. The work includes open-cut and trenchless installation, an additional downstream gravity sewer, removal of a collection-system bottleneck along First Street, sewer abandonment, pump station demolition, bypass pumping, utility relocation, dewatering, excavation, backfill, concrete encasement, creek-crossing restoration, environmental compliance, traffic maintenance, and site restoration. The bid requires a 10 percent bid guaranty and electronic submission through the City's Vendor Self Service portal. The contract documents also require the listed bid forms and applicable Water Pollution Control Loan Fund forms. The stated performance period is 610 days to substantial completion after the Notice to Proceed, followed by 120 days to final completion.
