Description
The City of Austin is requesting Statements of Qualifications from firms to establish a rotation list for structural engineering services supporting projects across various City departments. The City anticipates selecting approximately eight firms under professional services agreements, with individual assignments issued through the rotation process and authorized by written notices to proceed. The estimated aggregate authorization is $6,800,000. Potential services include structural evaluations and condition reports; structural design for buildings, parking garages, bridges, pools, dams, and plant facilities; foundation and retaining-wall design; building renovation projects; plan reviews; cost estimating; permitting; bid and proposal assistance; construction-phase administration; submittal, change, and request-for-information reviews; punch-list and closeout support; record drawings; warranty-item review; and related project management and quality-control activities. Major scopes requiring representation are structural engineering, architectural services, civil engineering, electrical engineering, geotechnical-soils engineering, and mechanical engineering. Responses must address the evaluation criteria, provide required experience information for the prime firm and key personnel, and include the City’s MBE/WBE compliance materials.
