Description
The City of Austin is seeking statements of qualifications from approximately eight firms for a structural engineering services rotation list. Assignments may include structural evaluations, condition reports, structural design for buildings, parking garages, bridges, pools, dams, and plant facilities; foundation and retaining-wall design; building-plan reviews; construction-phase services; cost estimating; permitting support; bid and proposal support; construction administration; submittal and change review; punch-list and closeout services; and record-drawing and warranty review. The rotation list may support various City departments and individual assignments will be authorized through written notices to proceed. The estimated total authorization for the rotation list is $6,800,000, with compensation for individual assignments varying by scope. Prime firms must perform the plurality of services, and the proposed team must provide representation for structural, architectural, civil, electrical, geotechnical-soils, and mechanical engineering scopes. Responses are evaluated on team structure and approach, key personnel and firm experience, experience with Austin issues, and compliance with the City's MBE/WBE procurement program. The response must include the required City forms, experience information, narratives, and MBE/WBE compliance materials.
