Description
The City of Cincinnati, as agent for the County Commissioners of Hamilton County, Ohio, for operation of the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati, is soliciting bids for rehabilitation of approximately 2,350 linear feet of existing 96-inch to 114-inch combined sewer between Court Street and Elsinore Place adjacent to Gilbert Avenue. The work includes cleaning sewer and manhole surfaces, removing debris and heavy encrustation, sealing leaking joints and infiltration, installing structural cementitious geopolymer lining by spray application, lining manholes, maintaining sewer flow through bypass pumping, filling and abandoning unused sewer and stubs, and restoring disturbed areas. The contractor must provide pre- and post-lining CCTV inspections, quality-control testing, liner thickness calculations, material testing, daily activity logs, confined-space safety procedures, traffic and erosion-control measures, and required construction submittals. The solicitation requires an electronic bid through the City's Vendor Self Service portal and includes a bid guaranty of 10% of the bid amount, with a minimum of $500. The project is funded through the Water Pollution Control Loan Fund and includes a 5.4% disadvantaged-business-enterprise participation goal and applicable federal funding requirements.
