Description
The City of Cincinnati, through its Parks Department, is soliciting proposals for professional services to develop a comprehensive renovation plan for Inwood Park. The project includes two primary phases: Concept Design, which will establish a long-term vision for the park's rehabilitation, programming, ecological restoration, and phased capital investment; and Schematic Design, which will advance selected priority improvements to a level sufficient to establish project scope, anticipated construction costs, and future progression into Design Development and Construction Documentation. The selected consultant will lead a multidisciplinary team including landscape architecture, architecture/historic preservation, civil engineering, structural engineering, public engagement, and cost estimating. Key project goals include rehabilitating historic structures (notably the Dance Pavilion), improving safety and visibility, activating the park for daily use and events, leveraging the park as a catalyst for neighborhood and ecological investment, creating a cohesive park experience, and ensuring inclusive access. The consultant will also conduct community engagement throughout the process. The total estimated project amount is $450,000, with an estimated construction cost of $9 million. The contract term is anticipated to be 18 months.
