Description
The City of Cincinnati, Ohio, through its Office of Environment & Sustainability (OES), is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to qualified firms to provide comprehensive, turnkey Recycling Program Sponsorship Planning and Management Services. The selected Offeror will develop, market, secure, implement, manage, and maintain sponsorship opportunities associated with the City's residential recycling physical infrastructure and recycling program in-name. The City currently owns and operates approximately 100,000 residential recycling carts (approximately 80% are 95-gallon and 20% are 65-gallon), 400 public recycling corner cans, 20 public recycling drop-off locations, 1 box truck, and 1 cargo van. Additionally, approximately 80,000 aging residential recycling carts are scheduled to be replaced beginning in 2027. The City seeks to leverage this opportunity through sponsorship programs that generate revenue and community partnerships while supporting recycling participation and waste diversion goals. The scope of services includes sponsorship sales and development, program strategy, creative design and branding, production/installation/maintenance, asset management, community engagement, reporting and analytics, data privacy and compliance, and content standards. The selected Offeror will also be responsible for developing placement guidelines, economic strategies, and revenue-sharing arrangements. The contract term is anticipated to be an initial three-year term with two one-year options to renew.
