Description
The City of Cincinnati, through Greater Cincinnati Water Works, is soliciting construction bids for lead service line investigation and replacement in designated Cincinnati work areas, including Clifton/Warner/Ravine, Glenway/Guerley/Prosperity, Grand/Lehman, Harrison/McHenry, and South Fairmount. The work includes public-side and private-side service line material investigations; replacement with Type K copper service piping; interior service relocation and meter-setting work when required; curb-stop, curb-box, and service-branch work; hydro-vac utility potholing; customer coordination and scheduling; flushing and testing; traffic control; and daily production and photographic documentation. The contractor must furnish labor, materials, equipment, restoration, and related construction services. Restoration includes concrete and asphalt pavement, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, driveways, topsoil, seeding and mulching, and private-property cold-patch asphalt. The bid includes estimated quantities and a $250,000 contract-contingency allowance; the unofficial bid-sheet total shown in the provided pricing workbook is $253,000. The project is subject to federal Davis-Bacon wage requirements, DBE good-faith-effort requirements, Build America, Buy America and American Iron and Steel requirements, responsible-bidder and apprenticeship requirements, and specified insurance and surety obligations.
