The City of Cincinnati, through the Greater Cincinnati Water Works (GCWW), is requesting proposals from qualified plumbing contractors to replace lead water service lines on private property. The work includes replacing lead service lines with new copper piping from the public right-of-way line to approximately 6 inches beyond the meter setting inside the building, installing new meter settings, patching pipe penetrations, backfilling, and restoring yard and paved surfaces. Contractors must perform pre-inspections and may use trenchless or open-cut methods. The solicitation is open until June 18, 2027, and responses are accepted via email. Pre-qualification is based on experience, equipment, licensed plumbers, insurance, and bonding capability. The pre-qualified list is valid for one year with two one-year renewal options.
