The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to inspect all smoke, combination, and fire dampers serving HVAC systems in Buildings 302, 310, 320, 330, 340, 350, and 410 at the Dayton VA Medical Center. The scope includes approximately 160 smoke dampers, 103 combination dampers, and 347 fire dampers; removal and inspection of fusible links; manual operation to verify performance; replacement of links as needed; identification of defects for the HVAC shop; and delivery of a detailed inspection report after completion. The contractor must provide all personnel, supervision, labor, equipment, materials, replacement links, and disposal necessary to perform the work. Lockout/tagout procedures and applicable NFPA and OSHA requirements must be followed. The work is to be performed during the stated 90-day period during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. The procurement is a firm-fixed-price RFQ set aside for certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, with award based on the lowest-price technically acceptable quotation.
