Jefferson Township is seeking a contractor to remove and replace deteriorated asphalt in the front work area of its salt barn, repair or replace unstable base material, install a pavement section suitable for municipal truck traffic, and correct ponding and drainage conditions. The base bid also includes drainage runs along both sides of the salt barn, each expected to be under 60 linear feet, including inlets, minimum six-inch solid storm pipe or approved equivalent, bedding, backfill, outlets or tie-ins, and restoration. The contractor must also bury and protect electrical infrastructure within the project area, including trenching, code-compliant conduit, warning tape, pull or junction boxes as needed, backfill, and restoration. The proposal must identify the pavement section, drainage approach and endpoint for each side, electrical approach, schedule, warranty information, exclusions or assumptions, and at least three relevant references. The rear or back pavement section is excluded from the base bid and must be priced separately as an alternate. A minimum one-year workmanship warranty is required after Township acceptance.
