Description
The National Park Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price construction contractor to replace existing HVAC and heating infrastructure at Dingmans School and Virginia Kidd House within Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The work includes replacing steam boilers, boiler controls, heating-oil storage tanks with secondary containment and related safety components, steam distribution systems, piping, radiators, air vents, unit heaters, insulation, and associated connections. At Dingmans School, the contractor must also replace mini-split units and a downstairs window air-conditioning unit with heat pump systems. The scope includes demolition, disposal, cleanup, testing, startup, balancing, commissioning, coordination with park operations, product data and system-layout submittals, scheduling, weekly progress updates, safety documentation, and compliance with applicable codes, wage rates, environmental requirements, and Buy American construction-material requirements. The project magnitude is stated as $100,000 to $250,000, with an estimated 180-day performance period from issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
