Description
Gaston College is soliciting a contractor to remove the existing steam-powered heating system and air handler in the Beam Administration Building and provide a complete hot-water heating system. The scope includes one condensing boiler, one primary boiler pump, an air and dirt separator, one new air handler, an ion-generating air purifier, hot-water and chilled-water piping modifications, natural-gas piping, ductwork, pumps, expansion tank, controls, and ancillary equipment. The work also includes mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation; demolition; testing and balancing; permits and inspections; equipment submittals; owner training; daily cleanup; and coordination around college classes and events. The contractor must provide applicable North Carolina licenses, a proposed construction schedule, warranty information, public-project experience and references, a certificate of insurance, a W-9, a signed bid/acceptance form, HUB/minority-business documentation, and pricing for the base bid and listed alternate. All work must be completed by December 4, 2026.
