Description
This Invitation to Bid covers HVAC upgrades at the Central Maintenance Facility. The contractor must provide all materials, equipment, labor, supervision, and incidentals needed to demolish and remove existing water-source heat pumps and associated hydronic circulation piping, install new water-source unit heaters in the existing locations, and connect them to the existing supply-air, return-air, and outside-air ductwork. The work also includes installing new hydronic supply and return circulation piping connected to existing circulation equipment in the geothermal pump room, along with delegated design and installation of ventilation, heating, and cooling controls. The engineer’s construction cost estimate is $1,000,000 to $1,500,000. A 35% certified Small Business Enterprise subcontracting goal applies, subject to the stated good-faith-effort provisions if the goal cannot be met.
